Job Description

Join a growing financial institution as an Electronic Banking Specialist. This role is ideal for candidates with banking or credit union operations experience who enjoy working with electronic payments, transaction processing, account balancing, fraud resolution, and member support. The position plays a key role in ensuring electronic banking transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with banking regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and support ACH transactions, stop payments, disputes, and other electronic payment activities.
  • Research and resolve debit card, ATM, and electronic banking transaction issues, including fraud and dispute cases.
  • Balance, reconcile, and settle daily card and payment transactions.
  • Prepare and post general ledger entries and perform account reconciliations.
  • Review and process adjustments related to ATM, card, and payment activity.
  • Support domestic and international wire transfer operations, including verification and processing.
  • Respond to inquiries from branches, members, and internal departments regarding transaction activity, card services, online banking services, and payment operations.
  • Work closely with third-party vendors and payment networks to resolve operational issues.
  • Assist with fraud prevention efforts and identify transaction trends that may require escalation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable banking regulations, internal controls, and BSA requirements.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of banking, credit union, or financial services experience.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Electronic banking
    • Deposit operations
    • ACH processing
    • Card services
    • Fraud or dispute resolution
    • Wire transfers
    • Payment operations
    • General ledger balancing and reconciliations
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high transaction volumes.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial institution operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Regulation E, NACHA rules, card dispute processes, online banking, or payment operations is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
